"In day care bad smells play an unpleasant role. Especially when the changing rooms are open, there can be a nasty smell after changing diapers. This smell has a direct effect on the perceived hygiene. This may lead parents to believe that their children have spent the day in a smelly environment instead of in the desired pleasant and fresh atmosphere…… To prevent this we have been looking for a means to alleviate this unpleasant odour…...
Since we are using aroma diffusers and essential oils the air quality has been greatly improved. Even after changing diapers it still smells fresh in the common room. At the day care centre where there were many complaints about the smell, the discovery of these diffusers and oils was really a relief. The parents’ reactions are very positive; they were pleasantly surprised by the nice smell. The pedagogic employees are also very enthusiastic about the use of these diffusers.
